On October 31, 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 3267/QĐ-BCT on conducting and applying antidumping measures on some monosodium glutamate (MSG) products imported into Vietnam originating from the People's Republic of China (China) and the Republic of Indonesia (Indonesia) (case number AD09).

- Outcomes of the 1st review:

On April 06, 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce issued Decision No. 640/QĐ-BCT on the outcomes of the first review of anti-dumping measures application on the products with the anti-dumping tax: Indonesia: 5.289.439 VNĐ/ton; Trung Quốc: 3.445.645 VNĐ/ton - 6.385.289 VNĐ/ton.

- Outcomes of the 2nd review:

On January 5, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce issued Decision No. 22/QD-BCT on the outcomes of the second review of anti-dumping measures application (AR02.AD09): adjusting anti-dumping tax for a number of enterprises.

- July 23, 2024: The Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 1947/QĐ-BCT on initiating a final review of the application of anti-dumping measures (Case code: ER01.AD09).

- April 18, 2025: The Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 1067/QĐ-BCT on extending the investigation period by an additional three (03) months, until 23 July 2025, for the final review of the application of anti-dumping measures.

- July 2, 2025: The Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 1914/QĐ-BCT announcing the results of the final review of the application of anti-dumping measures on certain monosodium glutamate (MSG) products originating from Indonesia and China. Accordingly, the anti-dumping measures were extended for an additional five (05) years, with anti-dumping duty rates ranging from VND 3,396,156 per tonne to VND 6,385,289 per tonne.
