Beijing, June 5 (Jiji Press)--China has opened an investigation into whether gas chromatograph mass spectrometers imported from Japan are being sold at less than fair market value, the Commerce Ministry said Thursday.

The US International Trade Commission determined that revoking the existing countervailing duty order on carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from Brazil and the existing antidumping duty orders on imports of that product from Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Moldova, Trinidad and Tobago and Ukraine would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time, but that revoking the existing antidumping duty order on imports of that product from Canada would not.

WASHINGTON, June 3 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- U.S. producers of carbon and alloy steel wire rod expressed overall satisfaction with the U.S. International Trade Commission's (ITC) decision today to maintain antidumping orders on carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod from Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Moldova, Trinidad and Tobago, and Ukraine. As a result of the Commission's decision, import restraints on the six countries will remain in place for another five years.
