The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued Decision No. 1400/QD-BCT officially applying anti-dumping duties to certain colorless float glass products originating from Indonesia and Malaysia.
The official anti-dumping duties applied to the investigated goods from Indonesia ranged from 32.78% to 43.78% and from Malaysia from 41.07% to 63.39%.
During the investigation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade coordinated with relevant units to carefully consider and assess the impact of the dumping of imported goods on the operations of the domestic manufacturing industry, and the extent of dumping by Indonesian and Malaysian manufacturing and exporting companies.
The final conclusion of the investigating authority determined that: there was dumping of the investigated imported goods from Indonesia and Malaysia; there was clear evidence of significant damage to the domestic industry; and there was a causal relationship showing that the investigated dumped goods were the primary cause of significant damage to the domestic industry.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Industry and Trade decided to officially apply anti-dumping duties on certain colorless float glass products originating from these two countries.
The anti-dumping duties on colorless float glass products from Indonesia and Malaysia may be reviewed and adjusted upon request from interested parties in accordance with the law to ensure that anti-dumping measures are applied correctly, to the right extent, and for a reasonable period of time.
In July 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade officially launched an anti-dumping investigation into certain colorless float glass products originating from Indonesia and Malaysia.
The decision to initiate the investigation was issued based on the results of an assessment, in accordance with the law on trade defense, of the anti-dumping investigation request submitted fully and validly on June 6, 2025, by four companies representing the domestic industry: Chu Lai Float Glass Joint Stock Company, Ha Long Float Glass Joint Stock Company, Phu My Ultra-White Float Glass Company Limited, and Viet Nam Float Glass Company Limited.
