Argentina Takes Anti-dumping Probe on Vulcanized-Rubber Conveyor Belts

According to Argentine official news, recently, Argentina's foreign-trade secretariat issued its Resolution No. 52 of 2012 to launch an antidumping (AD) probe on China/Brazil-made vulcanized-rubber-made conveyor belts (Mercosur HS Code 40101200), which are 300mm or more wide and reinforced with textile materials.

On May 8, China imposed extra import duties on stainless steel seamless tubes imported from the European Union and Japan, saying the tubes damaged the Chinese machinery they were installed in. The Chinese move came less than two months after the EU and Japan, along with the U.S., went to the World Trade Organization to challenge China’s curbs on exports of its rare earths, scarce minerals that are vital to so many industrial processes. The complaint argued that China’s restrictions on exports of the minerals would force multinationals to set up more factories on the mainland.
USITC Full Anti-dumping Sunset Review on Chinese Activated Carbon

U.S. Government Imposes Duties on UK Company Circumventing Antidumping Order on Small Diameter Graphite Electrodes

WASHINGTON, June 6, 2012 -- /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The United States Department of Commerce has preliminarily found that a United Kingdom company, UK Carbon and Graphite Co., Ltd. ("UKCG") was unlawfully circumventing an antidumping duty order covering small diameter graphite electrodes ("SDGE") from China. The preliminary determination was publicly announced on May 30, 2012. The Commerce Department plans to issues its final decision on July 31, 2012.
