Among trade remedy measures, Anti-dumping is the one that Canada uses the most against Vietnamese goods. Canada started using this tool with Vietnam in 2001 with the Anti-Dumping investigation on Garlic imported from Vietnam. However, Vietnamese exports subject to the most Anti-dumping investigation by Canada are steel products.

Recently, Canada's Anti-dumping investigation on Vietnamese goods is on an increasing trend, notably in the period 2018-2020, Canada has conducted Anti-dumping investigations with 3 items exported from Vietnam.

Most recently, on December 21, 2020, Canada initiated an Anti-Dumping investigation on Vietnam's Upholstered Seating.
