Australia is a market that conducts relatively many Anti-dumping/Anti-Subsidy cases against Vietnamese export goods. Therefore, this is also considered a risky market for trade remedies that Vietnamese export enterprises need to pay special attention to in order to have appropriate responses when an incident occurs.

Among trade remedy measures, Anti-dumping is the one that Australia uses the most against Vietnamese goods. Australia started using this tool against Vietnam in 2013 with the Anti-dumping investigation on Transformers imported from Vietnam. Vietnamese exports subject to the most Anti-dumping investigation by Australia are steel products.

Since mid-2022, Australia has not conducted any investigation or imposed Anti-dumping measures against Vietnam. The most recent case is that Australia initiated an Anti-dumping investigation on Vietnam's ammonium nitrate compound on June 8, 2022.
