US DOC announce results for AD on graphite electrode

The US Department of Commerce announced its affirmative preliminary determination in the antidumping duty investigation of imports of graphite electrodes from China. Graphite electrodes are typically applied in primary melting, ladle metallurgy and specialty industrial furnace applications such as foundries, smelters and steel refining operations.
U.S. commission rules against Chinese tires

Washington, D.C. - The United States International Trade Commission (ITC) has determined that a U.S. industry is materially injured by reasons of imports of certain off-the-road (OTR) tires from China that the U.S. Department of Commerce determined were subsidized and sold in the United States at less than fair value. OTR tires include those used on agriculture, mining and construction vehicles.
Members to build bridges for WTO talks

NEW DELHI: Senior officials from key member countries of the World Trade Organization (WTO) are likely to meet early next month to test the waters and see if they can build enough consensus to justify another ministerial meeting in September. The mini-ministerial meeting of about 30 member countries in July was inconclusive as some countries including India and the US could not agree on measures to safeguard poor farmers against import surges.
