U.S. concerned over Indian trade barriers

(Reuters) - India's restrictive trade policy is impeding foreign investment and it needs to work harder to free up its economy, U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke said on Monday, despite growing economic ties between the countries.

The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC or Commission) has voted to conduct full five- year ("sunset") reviews concerning the countervailing duty orders on cut-to-length carbon steel plate from India, Indonesia, Italy, and Korea and the antidumping duty orders on cut-to-length carbon steel plate from India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, and Korea (Inv. Nos. 701-TA-388-391 and 731-TA-817-821 (Second Review)).
