SteelOrbis - On March 23, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) decided to postpone the deadline for its final determination in the administrative review of the antidumping (AD) order against circular welded non-alloy steel pipe from South Korea.
The DOC said that it is not practicable to complete this review by the planned deadline, April 14, 2010, extending the time limit by an additional 60 days to June 13, 2010.
As SteelOrbis previously reported, on December 8, 2009, the DOC published the preliminary results of the administrative review of the AD order on circular welded non-alloy steel pipe from South Korea, covering the period November 1, 2007 through October 31, 2008.
The review covers six South Korean producers/exporters: SeAH Steel Corporation; A-JU Besteel Co., Ltd.; Dongbu Steel Co., Ltd.; Korea Iron&Steel Co., Ltd.; Nexteel Co., Ltd.; and Union Steel Co., Ltd.
The DOC preliminarily determined that the weighted-average dumping margin for the mandatory respondent, SeAH Steel, is 4.42 percent. The DOC has assigned the same preliminary margin of 4.42 percent to the other companies subject to this review.
