In Turkey, based on firm upstream costs, along with the rising trend in Asia, American import offers have been recording gradual increases for almost a month.

In early November, US origins were mainly at $835-860/ton CFR Turkey, subject to 6.5% customs duty and $45/ton anti-dumping duty, cash while this week they moved up to reach $890-900/ton with the same terms, gaining $40-55/ton since then.

Bullish factors such as firm feedstock costs as well as the upward movement of Asian markets are considered to be the main reasons for the incremental rise of this origin. According to reports from China, US PVC offers are following a similar trend in that country as well.  Following last week's higher January offers for American PVC at $810-820/ton on CFR China basis, a trader reported their offers for cargoes scheduled for January at $820/ton with the same terms this week. Sellers in the region commented that they lifted their offers to China in anticipation of a continued upward movement in PVC prices.

Currently, US offers in Turkey are mainly in line with the prevailing levels in Egypt, where US origin was reported at $880-890/ton CIF Alexandria, cash this week.
