Overview of Trade Remedies investigation by the Philippines

The Philippines is one of the countries using few trade remedies measures. Export products that have been subject to trade remedy measures by the Philippines include: Products of the chemical and allied industries, pharmaceuticals, Base metals and articles, and Prepared foodstuff; beverages, spirits, vinegar; tobacco, etc. Countries/territories involved in alleged trade distortive practices in their exports to the Philippines, include: China, Russia, South Korea, Indonesia, etc.
From January 1, 1995 to December 31, 2022, Philippines initiated a total of 41 trade remedies investigations, including 21 anti-dumping investigations, 20 safeguard investigations and 0 anti-subsidy investigation. Of the investigations initiated, the Philippines has officially applied 13 anti-dumping measures, and 10 safeguard measures.
