Ina notification released by the Department of Central Excise and Customs, Ministry of Finance, the government of India has imposed an anti- dumping duty on All Fully Drawn or Fully Oriented Yarn/Spin Draw Yarn/Flat Yarn of Polyester (non-textured and non–POY) tariff item 54024700 imported from China, Thailand and Vietnam ranging between US $112 and $527 per ton effective up to September 25, 2009.

Lamy, in a report to WTO members, said he specifically noted increases in tariffs, non-tariff measures, and anti-dumping actions.
