The Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) released No. 96 Announcement of 2004 on January 1, 2005, deciding to take anti-dumping measures on dispersion unshifted single-mode optical fiber imports from the U.S., Japan and ROK for 5 years.
On December 31, 2009, MOFCOM launched the final review on the anti-dumping measures on such imports from Japan and ROK in response to applications from domestic industry of dispersion unshifted single-mode optical fiber.
After the review, MOFCOM found that dumping of such imports from Japan and ROK might continue and would hurt Chinese domestic industry again if anti-dumping measures were terminated.
MOFCOM decided, according to Article 50 of Anti-dumping Regulation of the People's Republic of China and decisions of Tariff Commission of the State Council, to continue anti-dumping measures on dispersion unshifted single-mode optical fiber imports from Japan and ROK for another 5 years starting from January 1 of 2011.
Tariff No. of the product is 90011000 under the Import and Export Tariff of the People's Republic of China.
