ITA finds China dumped nails in US

NEW YORK — The Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration (ITA) has preliminarily determined in an administrative review of an anti-dumping duty order on certain steel nails (with shaft length up to 12 inches) from China that Stanley Works (Langfang) Fastening Systems Co. Ltd., Stanley Black & Decker/Stanley Fastening Systems LP, Tianjin Jinghai County Hongli Industry & Business Co. Ltd. and Tianjin Jinchi Metal Products Co. Ltd. all made sales at less-than-normal value, calculating the weighted-average dumping margins at between 1.24 and 118.04 percent.
Commerce preliminarily rescinded the new shipper review in the same order for Shanghai Colour Co. Ltd. and Wuxi Colour Co. Ltd. because their single sale into the United States during the period of review did not constitute a proper transaction.
If the preliminary findings are adopted in the final results of the review, Commerce will instruct U.S. Customs and Border Protection to assess anti-dumping duties on all shipments made during the period of review, Aug. 1, 2009, through July 31, 2010.
