Half of global antidumping cases are against China

China suffered from 73 antidumping investigations, 10 anti-subsidy investigations, accounting for 35% and 71% of global total. China is the country which suffered most trade remedy investigation. In the first half year, trade remedy investigation like antidumping, anti-subsidy and safeguard measures and special safeguard China suffered reached as many as 58, involving more than 8 billion dollars.

The third G20 Financial Summit was held in Pittsburgh, U.S decided to trade restriction measures on tyre imported from China U.S. in the two-day meeting, making anti trade protectionism a unavoidable focus in the two-day meeting.

With the spread of global financial crisis, global trade protectionism is on the rise. Influenced by U.S sub-prime crisis in the first half year of 2008, global antidumping cases increased by 39%.

Other countries all follow suits. Brazil announced 2 anti-dumping measures against Chinese products on September 10. Argentina decided to conduct antidumping investigation on China produced tyre on September 11. There is no doubt that the frequent emergence of antidumping case will cause negative effect to China export.
