European Producers No Longer Favor Anti-Dumping Duties for US Vinyl Acetate Monomer Imports
17/11/2011 12:00
An antidumping complaint against US-based companies, employed in vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) imports was forwarded to the European Commission in the Q4 of the previous year.
The Commission confirmed the fact of damping in mid-Q3 of this year. It took a decision to impose temporary anti-dumping duties on US supplies. The duties were estimated at 13 percent on average.
INEOS (headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland) intends to withdraw its participation in the complaint.
