Eurasian Economic Community Safeguard Probe on Chemical Fabrics

Reportedly, the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) commission has decided to launch from October 1 a safeguarding probe into chemical fabrics importing to the Customs Union territory, involving 61 HS Codes of 6 digits.
According to China Customs statistics, during January-August, the exports involved from China to Russia-Belarus-Kazakhstan customs territory totaled USD 380 million, up 1.9% year-on-year, and over 2011, the export value totaled USD 560 million, up 44.28% year-on-year.
As required by the EAEC, within 30 days, interested parties can apply for being stakeholders who can apply for holding hearings within 60 days and submit written opinions in Russian (confidential and open copies) within 90 days.
