The Council of the European Union, following a proposal of the European Commission, has published its decision to terminate the antidumping duties of 29.5% imposed in 2006 on imports of seamless pipes and tubes of iron or steel, of circular cross section, of an external diameter not exceeding 406.4 mm from Croatia.
This decision was taken after an investigation carried out by the European Commission concluded that the situation regarding imports from Croatia warranted the termination of the measures. In its assessment, the European Commission took into account the situation of the sole producer of seamless pipe and tubes in Croatia.
Conversely, the investigation concluded that the measures against exporting producers in Ukraine and Russia should be maintained. A definitive antidumping duty is imposed on imports of seamless pipes and tubes of iron or steel, of circular cross section, of an external diameter not exceeding 406.4 mm and originating in Russia and Ukraine.
