EU to Put Punitive Duties on Chinese Bikes & Tiles

Chinese diplomats said on August 1 that the EU will soon set up trade barriers to bikes and ceramic tiles from China as its latest protection for EU manufacturers.
The European Commission plans to levy five-year punitive duties up to 69.7% on China-made ceramic tiles and prolong antidumping duties up to 48.5% on China-made bikes and bike parts until 2016.
The diplomats indicated that the Commission plans have got official support from most of EU member states.
