EU Takes AD Midterm-Review Probe on China's Steel Fasteners

On March 6, 2012, the European Commission released a notice, stating on July 28, 2011, the WTO's Dispute Settlement Body adopted the report by the appeal team and expert team for EU antidumping (AD) on China-made iron/steel fasteners, holding the EU violates relevant antidumping regulations, therefore the Commission decides to launch an antidumping midterm-review investigation thereof.
The involved products are under HS codes 73181290, 73181491, 73181499, 73181559, 73181569, 73181581, 73181589, 73181590, 73182100 and 73182200.
In November 2007, the EU launched the antidumping investigation; in January 2009, the EU made an affirmative ruling on this case.
On July 31, 2009, China requested negotiation with the EU on the antidumping measures; on October 12, 2009, China requested the building of an expert team; on December 3, 2010, expert team's reports were distributed to all WTO members; on March 25, 2011, the EU lodged an appeal; on July 15, 2011, reports of the expert team were distributed to all the WTO members.
