The Commission Regulation (EU) No 1043/2011 of 19 October 2011 imposing a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of oxalic acid originating in India and China.
In January 2011, the European Commission announced that, following a complaint lodged in December 2010, it was initiating an anti-dumping proceeding with regard to imports into the EU of oxalic acid originating in India and China.
The complaint was made by the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC) on behalf of Oxaquim S.A.
Following its investigation, the Commission has decided to impose a provisional anti-dumping duty on these imports originating in the two countries. The rate of the provisional anti-dumping duty is set at: 22.8% for Punjab Chemicals and Crop Protection Limited; 43.6% for other Indian companies; 37.7% for Shandong Fengyuan Chemicals Stock Co Ltd and for Shandong Fengyuan Uranus Advanced Material Co Ltd; 14.6% for Yuanping Changyuan Chemicals Co Ltd; and 52.2% for other Chinese companies.
This Regulation enters into force on 21 October 2011 and will apply for six months. Interested parties may request disclosure of the essential facts and considerations on the basis of which this Regulation was adopted, and make their views known to the Commission within one month of this act entering into force.
