Medan (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian Anti Dumping Committee is currently studying a dumping charge filed by Egypt against an Indonesian tire company in North Sumatra for dumping practices.

"The province`s trade representatives office had been asked by the Indonesian anti dumping committee to study the allegation by referring it to tire producing company in the region," foreign trade director of the North Sumatra trade ministry agency Muzanni Lubis said here on Thursday.

Quoting the Indonesian Anti Dumping Committee`s statement, Egypt said it had also found brandless tires suspected from Indonesia.

The president director of PT. Industri Karet Deli in North Sumatra, Dr. Verry, said by phone here on Thursday that he had heard about the case. "But we don`t know for sure about its validity."

He said the company`s tires had been exported to many countries including the United States. "As to the dumping charges, I better not make a comment." (*)
