Egypt - Safeguard measures Raw Aluminium

On April 22, 2020, Egypt informed WTO of its initiation of the global safeguard investigation against Raw Aluminium (Ingots, Billets &Wire Rod) on April 16, 2020.
 
I. Relevant information: 
 
1. Initiated date: April 16, 2020
  
2. Goods under investigation: Raw Aluminium (Ingots, Billets &Wire Rod), H.S. tariff item numbers 760110, 760120 and 760511 within the Egyptian Customs Tariff Schedule.
 
3. The reasons for initiation of the investigation: Egyptian industry alleged that increased imports of the subject products caused serious injury to the domestic industry producing similar products.
