Following the publication of a notice of impending expiry (2010/C 348/10) of the anti-dumping measures in force on imports of certain seamless pipes and tubes originating in Croatia, Russia and Ukraine, the European Commission has received a request for review pursuant to Art. 11(2) of Council Regulation (EC) No 1225/2009 on protection against dumped imports from countries not members of the European Community.

The request was lodged on 29 March 2011 by the Defence Committee of the Seamless Steel Tubes Industry of the European Union on behalf of producers representing more than 50% of the Union production of certain seamless pipes and tubes.

The measures currently in force are a definitive anti-dumping duty imposed by Regulation (EC) No 954/2006 as last amended by Regulation (EC) No 812/2008.
The request is based on the grounds that the expiry of the measures would be likely to result in continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury to the Union industry.
The Commission has accepted that sufficient evidence exists to justify the initiation of an expiry review.

An investigation will determine whether the expiry of the measures would be likely, or unlikely, to lead to a continuation or recurrence of dumping and a continuation or recurrence of injury.

This notice sets out the time-limits within which interested parties may submit evidence or request hearings.

It confirms that the investigation will be concluded within 15 months of 28 June 2011, the date of this publication.
