BEIJING, May 28 (Xinhua) -- China announced on Wednesday it would start an anti-dumping investigation against imported cyclic dimethyl siloxane from the Republic of Korea (ROK) and Thailand.

The Ministry of Commerce announced it would study the extent of the dumping behavior and its damage to the Chinese domestic manufacturing industry.

The investigation would normally end within a year, or before May 28, 2009, but could be extended to Nov. 28 later in the year if needed, it said.
