Canada Anti-dumping Sunset-Review Ruling on Chinese Bikes

On July 26, 2012, the Canada Border Services Agency announced its antidumping (AD) sunset-review final ruling on bikes and bike frames from Chinese mainland and Taiwan region, holding that canceling its antidumping measures would lead to continuation or recurrence of the Chinese dumping.

Based on the affirmative ruling, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal will conduct an industrial injury probe into the Chinese products, its ruling to be made on December 7, 2012.

On May 15, 1992, the Border Services Agency started the antidumping probe under HS Codes 87120000.12, 87120000.20, 87120000.30, 87120000.40, 87120000.50, and 87120000.90, making a final ruling on December 11, 1992 with 12%-46% antidumping duties on Chinese enterprises and 13% antidumping duty on Taiwanese enterprises;

On February 7, 2012, the International Trade Tribunal announced the approach of the antidumping expiry and on March 28, 2012 launched the antidumping sunset review.
