Canada Announces Upcoming Anti-Dumping Expiry on Chinese Bicycles

On February 7, 2012, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) announced that, owing to upcoming expiry on December 9, 2012 of Canadian anti-dumping (AD) measures on bicycles and bicycle frames originating in China mainland and Chinese Taiwan, interested parties are required to submit their petition for anti-dumping sunset review to the CITT from the announcement date to the formal expiry date, and if no party concerned submits the petition, the anti-dumping measures will be terminated.
On May 15, 1992, Canada Border Services Agency launched the anti-dumping investigation under HS codes 87120000.12, 87120000.20, 87120000.30, 87120000.40, 87120000.50 and 87120000.90.
On December 11, 1992, the Agency made a final ruling to impose anti-dumping duties of 12%~46% on China mainland enterprises and 13% on Taiwanese enterprises.
