Brazil Takes Anti-dumping Probe on Chinese Seamless Carbon-Steel Pipes
02/07/2012 12:00
On June 21, Brazil's foreign-trade authority announced starting an antidumping (AD) probe on seamless carbon steel pipes imported from China, which are under Mercosur HS Code 73041900.
Since China is not treated as a market economy, the Brazilian authority intends to calculate the normal value of the Chinese pipes by using the export prices of the U.S.–made counterparts.
Enterprises involved should send back their responses to relevant questionnaires within 40 days from the questionnaire sending dates; other interested parties can apply to the authority for participating in the probe within 20 days from the announcement date.
