Brazil Takes Anti-dumping Probe on Chinese Motorcycle Tires

On June 25, Brazil's foreign-trade authority announced starting an antidumping (AD) probe on motorcycle tires imported from China mainland, Chinese Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, which are under Mercosur HS Code 40114000.

Since China mainland is not treated as a market economy, the Brazilian authority intends to calculate the normal value of the mainland tires by using the export prices of Thailand-made tires to the U.S.

Enterprises involved should send back their responses to relevant questionnaires within 40 days from the questionnaire sending dates; other interested parties can apply to the authority for participating in the probe within 20 days from the announcement date.
