BEIJING, October 14, SinoCast -- China's Ministry of Commerce discloses on its website on October 14 that the Brazil foreign trade commission (Camex) recently cancelled its anti-dumping tax on barium carbonate from China.
Earlier, Brazil imposed anti-dumping tax on China's barium carbonate products at USD 105.17 per ton.
Barium carbonate is a white heavy powder. It is soluble in diluted hydrochloric acid, dilute nitric acid, ammonia chloride and ammonium nitrate solutions, slightly soluble in water containing carbon dioxide and hardly soluble in water.
As a poisonous product, barium carbonate is mainly used to analyze iron contained in calcium, magnesium, manganese and zinc. Besides, it can be used to detect and measure halogen in organic compounds.
