Argentina imposes final Anti Dumping duty on rubber tires

On June 22, 2011, the Government of Argentina, by means of Resolution 221/2011, closed an anti-dumping investigation on imports of new rubber tires used in travel cars (including racing and family cars), buses or trucks (except those measuring 11, 00-24); and new rubber tires used in farming or forestation machines or vehicles from the People´s Republic of China (N.C.M. 4011.10.00, 4011.20.90, 4011.61.00, 4011.92.10 and 4011.92.90).
The dumping margin for the purpose of opening the investigation was calculated to be 167,32 %.
The Government applied a final ad valorem anti-dumping duty amounting to 23% (in the case of tires for travel cars), 10% (in the case of tires for farming or forestation machines or vehicles) and 17% (in the case of tires for buses or trucks) over the FOB export price.
The measure will be in force for 2 years, effective June 22, 2011.
The measure is suspended for 6 months regarding radial tires with a diameter of 13 inches and 165mm of width.
