Viet Nam receives AD petition against Chinese prestressed steel bars
12/06/2026 03:38
The Trade Remedies Authority of Viet Nam validated a complete application from local manufacturers seeking trade defense actions against prestressed steel bars imported from China.
Domestic steel companies requested a comprehensive probe into foreign dumping practices. The petition aims to evaluate whether these imports cause substantial economic damage or impede the establishment of a domestic manufacturing base.
The investigating authority has 45 days to evaluate the legal representation of the petitioners and verify the submitted injury evidence. A final recommendation will then reach the Minister of Industry and Trade to decide on launching a formal case.
Meanwhile, the government requested domestic producers and traders to submit historical operation details and production output data spanning 2021 through 2025.
