Practices of Anti-subsidy investigation by the US

The US has continuously initiated anti-subsidy investigation in the years from 1995 to present. In recent years, the number of anti-subsidy investigations initiated by the US has been quite large with the highest number of initiations of 30 cases in 2020.

Countries subject to the most anti-subsidy measures by the US

 

India and China are the two countries with the most anti-subsidy investigations by the US, accounting for 35% and 13% of the total number of anti-subsidy investigations initiated by the US, respectively.

Product groups subject to the most anti-subsidy measures by the US

 

In anti-subsidy investigations, base metals was the product subject to the most anti-subsidy duties in the US (accounting for 56% of total cases), followed by products of the chemical and allied industries (accounting for 10%).
