Import-export activities recovered strongly, bringing significant growth in the amount of goods exploited at ports in the first quarter of 2024, thereby recording impressive business results in both revenue and profit.

Vietnamese pangasius (Tra fish) exports to the EU between the beginning of the year and mid-April dropped by 13% to US$47 million against the same period from last year, according to data released by the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

Vietnam exported nearly 46,000 tonnes of rice to the EU market worth US$41.4 million during the first quarter of the year, representing an increase of nearly 118% against the same period from last year, according to statistics released by the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

Despite its small population, Singapore's coffee imports are relatively large, but Vietnamese exports to it remain modest, leaving ample room for expansion, according to the Vietnam Trade Office in that country.
