China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) announced on Wednesday the extension of the investigation period for the anti-dumping probe into imports of brandy originating in the EU until April 5, 2025, in view of the complexity of the case. 

The EU has initiated a safeguard investigation on certain manganese and silicon-based alloys, the European Commission (EC) has published the questionnaires.

Computers, electronic products and components are the first import group to exceed the US$100 billion mark this year.

Vietnam’s textile and garment export revenue has reached 44 billion USD in 2024, an impressive 11.26% increase compared to 2023. This achievement came despite numerous challenges, including market complexities. Building on this momentum, the industry has set an ambitious export target of 47–48 billion USD for 2025.

The EU move was made after Vietnamese fruits failed to comply with the maximum residue limit (MRL) of pesticides. 

Market expansion and diversification is the export development strategy that Vietnam is pursuing. With over 60 countries and territories having signed FTAs with the country, the door to major markets is truly wide open.
