Govt seeks view from steel cos on imposing additional taxes

NEW DELHI: The government has sought views from steel companies on imposing additional tax in the form of an anti dumping duty on imports of steel from countries such as China, Thailand and Ukraine. The domestic industry which is divided over levying the anti-dumping duty, is supposed to respond to the government's call, which is in the form of a notification, by January-end next year.
