The future operations of Namibia Poultry Industry (NPI), the biggest broiler investor in the country, will depend on the state’s imposition of Infantry Industry Protection (IIP) legislations against poultry importers as government’s way of protecting local producers.
The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers said Wednesday that the US Department of Commerce has decided not to impose an anti-dumping duty on Vietnamese shrimp imported into the US between February 1, 2011, and January 21 last year.
It was sweet victory for many local steel wire rod (SWR) makers last Wednesday, when the Government finally came around to imposing anti-dumping duties on SWR from selected companies in China, Taiwan, South Korea and Indonesia.
