VN: Shrimp export to US expected to thrive

Vietnam’s shrimp exports to the US in 2016 will rise thanks to positive results from the ninth administrative review (POR9) for anti-dumping duties on Vietnamese frozen shrimp and the signing of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).

Hanoi (VNA) - The Directorate General of Anti-Dumping and Allied Duties (DGAD) of India will arrange a hearing for the imposition of an anti-dumping tax on Digital Versatile Discs (DVDs) imported from Vietnam, according to the Competitiveness Management Department under the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade.

For years, the European Union (EU) has imposed tariffs on Chinese-made screws, nuts, and bolts made of either iron or steel. However, on Monday, China won an appeal in a seven-year legal battle before the World Trade Organization, which found that those tariffs are illegal. Although China has never before sought sanctions from the WTO, many believe the length of this battle may cause the trade giant to make a claim for compensation.
