EU member states vote for 18-month extension to anti-dumping measures

The European Commission’s proposal to extend the anti-dumping measures for Chinese PV manufacturers by a year and a half has been put to the mediation committee. The final decision will be published on 4th March. A proposal to extend the measures by only 12 months also failed in the Appeals Committee.
Chinese solar exports fall in 2016 with global anti-dumping measures

Chinese financial and business news site Caixin Media wrote that Chinese solar equipment exports fell 10 percent between 2015 and 2016. The statistics came from Zhang Sen, the secretary general of the solar division within China’s Chamber of Commerce for Imports and Exports of Machinery and Electronic Products, who spoke at a seminar late last week.

Minister for Commerce Tofail Ahmed on Thursday urged India to take steps to remove tariff and non-tariff barriers to boost exports from Bangladesh to India. "Due to different tariff and non-tariff barriers, Bangladesh's export to India is not growing at expected levels despite having duty benefits in almost all products except tobacco and liquor." Tofail said.
