Cold rolled stainless steel - Thailand investigates anti-dumping measures

On October 3, 2024, the Trade Remedies Authority received information that the Department of Foreign Trade of Thailand (Investigation Agency) had published a gazette on the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation on cold-rolled stainless steel products originating or imported from Vietnam. Specifically:

4. Final decision: 

 

DFT decided to impose anti-dumping duties ranging from 9.95% to 29.8% (based on CIF value) on the products in question to prevent material injury to Thailand’s domestic steel industry. The anti-dumping measures will not apply to products imported for production intended for re-export, as prescribed under the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand Act, the Investment Promotion Act, and the Customs Act.

 

The anti-dumping duties will be effective for a period of five (05) years, starting from October 11, 2025.
