This Business Guide to Trade Remedies in the CPTPP context was prepared as part of a collaborative process between the Governments of Canada and Vietnam to support the implementation of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). An enhanced understanding of the rights and obligations of the CPTPP will ensure that the benefits of trade agreements flow to both businesses and consumers of trade agreement partners.

 

This publication is intended to enhance understanding of potential users of trade remedies in the Vietnam business and industrial community so that such measures are deployed only to the extent necessary to protect the trade-enhancing effects of the CPTPP while keeping Member trade free, fair and sensitive to social and environmental values. This Guide was prepared by international trade lawyer Greg Somers in consultation with TRAV.
