The World Trade Organization (WTO) announced on September 28, 2015, that it has established a panel to mediate in an anti-dumping dispute between Indonesia and the United States.
Indonesia requested the panel, alleging that the anti-dumping measures imposed by the US on certain coated paper from Indonesia appear to be inconsistent with the US obligations under the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) 1994, the Anti-Dumping Agreement, and the Subsidies and Countervailing Measures (SCM) Agreement.
The US maintains that the actions in question were fully consistent with its obligations under the WTO Agreement.
Canada, China, the European Union, South Korea, and Turkey reserved their third-party rights to participate in the panel's proceedings.
