WTO launched an investigation on China

The World Trade Organization (WTO) carried out an investigation on the accusation that Beijing has been applying some illegal measures to reduce or eliminate tax for domestic enterprises.
At the end of last week, WTO set up an investigation committee after the accusation of the U.S and Mexico that China has granted subsidies to domestic enterprises and applied bias-taxation stipulations against imported goods.
However, China affirms that its subsidies comply with trade regulations of WTO.
In August, China hampered the very first efforts to establish the investigation committee of the WTO. However, according to the regulations of WTO, the second request to carry out the investigation is automatically accepted.
Last week, China has hindered another requirement of the U.S on investigating Chinese regulations on intellectual property rights. “It is that China has not enforced the copyright law causing financial damage which is up to billions of dollars per year to American companies”, said Washington.
