This was a safeguards investigation initiated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam on December 26th 2012 against imports of vegetable oils.
Subject good: refined vegetable oil products, HS (harmonized system) code 1507.90.90, 1511.90.91, 1511.90.92, 1511.90.99
On 22nd April 2013, the Minister of Industry and Trade signed a Decision No. 2564/QD-BCT applying temporary safeguard measures with the import duty of 5% on the items as mentioned above, except the countries which are excluded from the investigation according to the provisions of negligible imports. The temporary measures will take effect after 15 days from the date of notification of the decision issued by the Minister of Industry and Trade (7th May 2013) and is applied over a period not exceeding 200 days from the date which the measures are applied.
