USITC votes for AD probe on welded stainless steel pressure pipes from Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam
08/07/2013 12:00
The United States International Trade Commission last weekend determined that there is a reasonable indication that a US industry is materially injured by reason of imports of welded stainless steel pressure pipe from Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam that are allegedly sold in the United States at less than fair value.
All six Commissioners voted in the affirmative.
As a result of the Commission's affirmative determinations, the US Department of Commerce will continue to conduct its investigations on imports of this product from Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam, with its preliminary antidumping duty determinations due on or about October 23, 2013.
Product Description: Welded stainless steel pressure pipe subject to these investigations is made from austenitic stainless steel and the pipe is not greater than 14 inches in outside diameter.
