The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors (VASEP) reported the US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the final results of the ninth administrative review (POR9) from August 1 st , 2011 to July 31 st , 2012 on certain frozen fish fillets from Vietnam.

Accordingly, only Vinh Hoan Corp , one of two mandatory respondents, was granted reduced anti-dumping tax to zero from the USD0.03 per kilogram in place since the previous announcement.

The anti-dumping rate on another mandatory respondent, Hung Vuong Joint Stock Company will remain at USD1.2 per kilogramme.

Other companies, voluntary respondents, saw higher anti-dumping duty than the recent results in March, from USD0.42 per kilogram to USD1.2 per kilogram.

VASEP always asserts that this is an unreasonable, inconsistent and protectionist decision, causing unfair disadvantage to fish fillet products of Vietnam./.
