The US Department of Commerce (USDOC) has withdrawn anti-dumping (AD) duties on certain carbon and alloy steel cut-to-length plate (CTL plate) from Brazil, effective as of February 1. The USDOC determined that the revocation of the tariffs was unlikely to result in the continuation or recurrence of material injury to the US industry.
Meanwhile, the USDOC maintained AD duties on CTL plate from Austria, Belgium, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, South Africa, Taiwan, and Turkey, which was applicable on February 10, 2023.
The products involved are certain carbon and alloy steel hot-rolled or forged flat plate products, not in coils, whether or not painted, varnished, or coated with plastics or other non-metallic substances (cut-to-length plate).
