On February 2nd, the Trade Remedies Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) announced that on January 30th, 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 228/QD-BCT on the application of provisional anti-dumping duties on certain colorless float glass products originating from Indonesia and Malaysia.

Accordingly, the provisional anti-dumping duties applied to the investigated goods from Indonesia and Malaysia range from 15.17% to 63.39%.

During the investigation of the case, in accordance with the Law on Foreign Trade Management, the Ministry of Industry and Trade coordinated with relevant units to carefully consider and assess the impact of the dumping of imported goods on the operation of the domestic manufacturing industry, and the extent of dumping by manufacturing and exporting enterprises from Indonesia and Malaysia.

Preliminary investigation results indicate that dumped imported goods from Indonesia and Malaysia have caused significant and clear damage to the domestic industry. Furthermore, the volume of imports of the investigated dumped goods continues to increase rapidly and sharply (up more than 61.82% year-on-year) immediately after the Ministry of Industry and Trade decided to initiate the investigation.

Therefore, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has considered applying provisional anti-dumping measures to prevent the rapid increase in imports of colorless float glass, which could cause serious and irreparable damage to the domestic industry in the future.

In accordance with the Law on Foreign Trade Management, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will continue to work with relevant parties to collect and verify information and documents provided by them and reach a final conclusion based on a comprehensive assessment of the case's impact.
