The Ministry of Industry and Trade has decided to conduct a first review of the application of anti-dumping measures against certain prestressed steel cable products originating from Malaysia, the Kingdom of Thailand, and the People's Republic of China

On January 14, 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 143/QD-BCT applying official anti-dumping measures against prestressed steel wire ropes originating from Malaysia, the Kingdom of Thailand, and the People's Republic of China.
According to Clause 1, Article 51 of Government Decree No. 86/2025/ND-CP dated April 11, 2025, detailing some provisions of the Law on Foreign Trade Management regarding trade defense measures, "...Periodically, annually during the first four years from the date the decision to apply anti-dumping or countervailing measures officially takes effect or the decision to extend anti-dumping or countervailing measures takes effect, the requesting party has the right to submit a review request...". Accordingly, the Trade Defense Department has received a dossier from a Chinese manufacturing enterprise requesting a review of the application of anti-dumping measures against this enterprise.
Based on the review of the dossier submitted by the requesting party in accordance with the law, on January 21, 2026, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 150/QD-BCT on the first review of the application of anti-dumping measures against certain prestressed steel cable products originating from Malaysia, the Kingdom of Thailand, and the People's Republic of China (case code AR01.AD17).
To ensure the interests of all organizations and individuals involved in this case, the Trade Remedies Department recommends the following for organizations and individuals:
Organizations and individuals registering as interested parties shall use the Interested Party Registration Form and submit it to the Investigating Authority through the Online Trade Defense Application System (TRAV ONLINE) at the address: https://online.trav.gov.vn within sixty (60) working days from the date the Decision issued with this Notice takes effect. At the same time, the Interested Party Registration Form may be sent to the Investigating Authority by one of the following two methods: (i) post or (ii) email.
The deadline for registering stakeholders is April 22, 2026.
