The Trade Remedies Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) announced that on March 2nd, it received information from the Vietnamese Trade Office in Belgium regarding the European Commission's (EC) receipt of a complete and valid application requesting an anti-dumping investigation into copper pipes imported from Viet Nam.
In the event of initiating an investigation, the EC will send the relevant parties documents including the Application, the Decision to Initiate an Investigation, and the Investigation Questionnaire.
Currently, the investigating authorities are gathering information on the list of Vietnamese companies exporting copper pipes to Europe.
Therefore, the Trade Remedies Department recommends that businesses exporting products subject to investigation send their business information (Business name, address, email, contact person, quantity and value (USD) of copper pipe exports to the EU in 2023, 2024 and 2025) to the Trade Remedies Department to coordinate the provision of information to the EC and to guide businesses in monitoring the case and developing appropriate response plans.
